Dear Brethren in the Lord:
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the
latter day upon the earth:" (Job 19: 25) "Wherefore gird up the loins of
your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be
brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:13)
In their last report, the brethren from Cavite said that after much
prayers, the Lord wondrously dealt with Sister Grace Glorioso, who humbly
returned unto God in repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The
brethren have arranged to baptize her later this month. We greatly thank
the Lord for His saving grace and divine mercy as we exalt His Eternal
Name above all things. "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the
uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make
intercession for them." (Hebrews 7: 25)
Recently, the brethren from Mahinhin in Sitio Dolores worked their way to
do visitation at Calauag, Quezon Province located south of Manila in the
Calabarzon-Region IV area. They delivered God’s message of salvation and
the Glorious Gospel to the village people in this predominantly fishing
community. After traveling by unpaved roads and walking past fishponds
and farmlands, they arrived in Barangay Ipil and Pinagsakayan at sunset
as the villagers were getting home from working on their farms and
fishponds. The brethren witnessed to Nora, Pamela, Letty, Mang Pablo and
his wife, Marina, Liza, Ading, Mr.&Mrs. Datu Pomay, Mang Boy and his
wife, Buhatin family, Emilyn Buenaobra (36 yrs. old), Ivy I. Buenaobra
(age 39), Pepe Molina, Myrna, and Susan Molina. Many of these villagers
had spent their day repairing and patching up the roof of their wood
houses with bundles of dried palm leaves. The distance between Barangay
Ipil to Pinagsakayan is about 30-minute walk from the township center.
The Bible teaching at Cainta, Floodway and Dividend Homes goes on every
week. The participants are Lenlen, Arman, Marianne, Phoeby, Carla, Arlan,
Mr. dela Cruz. The meeting with Jovelyn and Jomar was postponed for
another date because this couple went to Cardona, Rizal to visit their
family.
Eleven people joined the Bible study at Baranggay Oas, Polangui and Ligao
in Albay, Bicol, located southeast of Manila. These were Emelyn, Aisa,
Jonathan, his wife and family, Denden, Nanay Marleen, Sister Julie,
Sister Helen, Desiree, Mariel, Mang Anto and his family. Albay, Bicol is
about 13-hour trip by bus from Manila. Sister Darl, a Sunday school
teacher at GMA, Cavite, intends to teach computer technology in college
this coming school year. She used to be a faculty member in a privately
owned school in Sitio Silang.
We thank the Lord for the brethren at Grace Baptist Church in Mt.Vernon,
Georgetown, KY; South Irvine Baptist Church, Irvine, KY; Bryan Station
Baptist Church, Lexington, KY; Ocoonita Missionary Baptist Church in
Jonesville, VA; and, the other brethren from the Lord’s Churches of like
faith and order, for your continued financial support and most especially
for your faithful prayers in our behalf and the Lord’s work that He has
entrusted to us. May we grow stronger in God’s grace as we wait for His
soon return. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" (Titus 2:13)
In His glorious service,
Bro. Ed Quetua
