Dear Brethren in the Lord:
"They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth
shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall
be glorious." (Isaiah 11: 9-10)

In their last report, the brethren from Mahinhin voiced their desire to
start a new extension worship service in the Floodway-Taytay area, where
they plan to get a worship place that is closer to their homes. This
church group that includes Bro. Frank, Bro. Eric, Sister Perly, their
families and their relatives, live far away from the current church at
Mahinhin, Taytay. The Bible study at Cainta, Dividend Homes and Floodway
went according to the weekly schedule. The first time visitors at
Mahinhin were Emmanuel, Jenifer and Aldie. There was another Bible
teaching at Sitio Libis and Sitio Burol with Nilo and Marife.
The brethren also reported holding a Bible study and visitation at
Calauag, Quezon Province, located in the Calabarzon region south of
Manila. Participants included Mang Pepe, his wife Myrna and daughters,
Lito, Turing, Michelle, Gemma, and some men who were acquainted with the
family.
Sister Araceli Custodio has come back to regularly attend church at GMA,
Cavite. A family attending there might have to move to another part of
the province, but have committed themselves to continue attending
services even when they live farther away. The weekly Bible study also
continues at Jenny’s Compound in Pasig, attended by Sister Fe, Mang
Eddie, Rodel, Michelle and Marilyn.
The brethren mentioned about typhoon "Frank" (international codename
"Fengshen") that battered central and northwestern Philippines last June
21-22, with windspeed of up to 87 miles per hour. We thank the Lord that
the brethren were kept safe, even though the areas where they reside and
work, lay directly in the typhoon’s path. Some of them could not come to
church on Sunday morning, June 22, because of the heavy rains,
flashfloods and high winds. They spent their morning in prayer and
carefully monitored the storm as it moved through and then away from the
area. By afternoon, many of the brethren were able to come out for the
evening worship. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
We thank the Lord for the brethren at Grace Baptist Church in Mt.Vernon,
Georgetown, KY; South Irvine Baptist Church, Irvine, KY; Bryan Station
Baptist Church, Lexington, KY; Ocoonita Missionary Baptist Church in
Jonesville, VA; and, the other brethren from the Lord's Churches of like
faith and order, for your continued financial support and most especially
for your faithful prayers in our behalf and the Lord's work. May we grow
stronger in God's grace as we wait for His soon return. "Looking for that
blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour
Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:13)

In His glorious service,

Bro. Ed Quetua
