Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

“This is the day which the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.  It is a beautiful day today in San Pedro Sula, the birds were singing as I studied and read this morning and continue as I write this letter to you all.  I love to hear their music as they sing.

Last night the 2nd of July, when Bro. Bautista and I returned after the service in Jesús de Otoro, it rained the whole way home.  A lot of the roads are not marked with stripes or side lines so it was treacherous driving all the way home.  We are always thankful to the Lord for the way He protects us as we make our way home.  I preached on the subject of the Holy Spirit and how He works before we are saved and during the process of salvation and how He indwells us after our conversion.  The Lord gave me their undivided attention as I preached.

I want to thank you for praying with us regarding the leading of the Lord in our lives at this time, and know that all of you are waiting to hear from me.  Many of you already know, because of the internet and I know that news flies fast in this world today.  I will now give you the word from “the horse’s mouth”.  After much prayer I have accepted the call to pastor the Philadelphia Baptist Church as soon as I can liquidate many of our possessions.  We will need to rent a container to bring back the rest of our things.  We are trying to sell the cars and the house as well.  I hope that we will be able to make the move soon.  The Lord will accomplish His will in His time, so we are relying upon Him to lead us and the buyers.  It may happen tomorrow or He may want us to continue preaching and teaching here for a bit longer.  It is in His hands and I will trust in His Divine providence and pray for wisdom and protection as we go through this transition.

Until we move, we will continue to be your missionaries in Honduras, Central America.  Please be patient with us and know that we will let you know when we move to Alabama.  We have always been transparent with those who support this work.  In 23 years, every month we have reported what is going on with the Tweets and the mission efforts.  This will be a big move for us, but it is what the Lord wants for us at this time.  Please pray fervently for us and this move.

During this month we were blessed to have both Bro. Lisandro Córdova, pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church in Rio Esteban, and Bro. Anastacio Suazo, pastor of both the Balfate and Lis-Lis Baptist Churches, preach for the church here in San Pedro Sula.  They were invited by the Dios Soberano Baptist Church.  It was a blessing to hear them proclaim the Word of God.  Bro. Anastacio said that they have eleven men in the church in Lis Lis, and Bro. Lisandro said that they have over thirty-five in their men’s class.  This church baptized 14 people two weeks ago, for which we praise the Lord.  Some were couples who were living together as a family, but had not gotten married.  Now they’ve been saved and wanted to get married and baptized.  Others were some of the young people who have grown up in the church, and the Lord has saved their souls.  The church had a prayer meeting for one week which was scheduled to start at four in the morning and close at six, but each morning more people came; and by the end of the week, they closed the service at twelve noon!  “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”  There were fifty brothers and sister on their knees starting at four in the morning!  They had a devotion led by one of the brethren before they separated in groups.  Many of them had walked twenty five minutes and got wet crossing the Rio Esteban river.  The Lord is so good to us, how faithful are we?

It is rare that we ask for ourselves, but the need to move things to the USA and get them to Decatur, Al will be expensive.  I will have the numbers to give you in the next month’s report or sooner.  I have heard the container placed in Miami will cost about three thousand dollars plus the truck to haul it to Decatur.  Sylvia and I are so thankful for each church and pastor which have this mission work upon their heart.  The support, which many of you given to this work for so many years, has been used for this work 100%, and it is continuing to produce souls for the kingdom and members of the Lord’s churches.  Do not forget to support these brethren in your prayers as they continue to work in this country.

I want to have the liberty to call upon my supporting pastors and churches for the need which will continue to exist here.  The need to come down here once and while to preach a conference or revival meeting will be important to them; some of them have already mentioned this to me.  We need to all be praying that the Lord will work in the heart of a man of God to come down here as a new missionary, because the need still exists here for someone to come.  May the Lord bless you all as you serve our great God.

Your brother in Christ, Ted Tweet
